2025 US Golf Croquet Classic Final Line-up

The 2025 US Golf Croquet Classic is ready to kick off three days of top-level croquet at Washington Park in Denver, Colorado, with a strong field of players and competitive play ahead. The official schedule is now available and can be viewed at the links below. Please note that updates may occur, so players are encouraged to check the brackets regularly:

The online brackets default to block standings (group stage). To view match times, select the “MATCHES” tab. When using a mobile device, swipe to the right to see games that extend off-screen.

Format and Divisions

The Classic features two open blocks of six players each. The top three finishers in each block will progress to the Pro Playoff, while players finishing fourth through sixth will advance to the Gold Playoff. Trophies will be awarded to each division winner, with medals for first and second place.

Schedule and Play

  • Start Time: Daily play begins at 8:30 a.m.

  • Byes: Each round of block play includes byes due to block sizes; not all players will play in the first round each day.

  • Lunch: As a low-fee, no-frills event, lunches are not provided. A lunch break is built into each day’s schedule, and players should plan to bring their own meals.

All block games will be 13-point games (7 points to win). Larger blocks ensure each player will have a minimum of six games during the tournament. Time limits are not planned but may be used if necessary to keep matches on schedule.

As a USCA-sanctioned event, results will be submitted to the World Croquet Federation ranking database, and game scores will be posted on croquetscores.com. Players are expected to wear traditional white attire in accordance with USCA guidelines.

  • Referee: Matt Smith

Match Conduct and Court Notes

  • Most matches will be double-banked. Games on the same court should begin from the same end. The second game should start once the first game has scored Hoop 2.

  • Players and spectators should remain alert to all games on both courts. If a shot could interfere with another game or potentially hit a player or spectator, a clear warning should be given.

  • Avoid cross-court debates.

  • Match winners are responsible for recording and reporting scores. Both players should verify that the score is recorded

  • Players may request relief from sprinkler heads or other man-made obstacles, but the opponent must agree on a fair replacement ball position. If agreement cannot be reached, a referee should be called.

  • For any unclear situation, a referee must be consulted.

  • Before adjusting the court surface or hoops, players must consult their opponent. If no agreement is reached, a referee decision is required.

  • To maintain fair play, players should remain outside the striker’s line of vision when shots are being taken. The striker may request that an opponent move out of sight.

Block Tiebreaker Criteria

Final block standings for playoff seeding will be determined by total game wins. If a tie occurs, the following criteria will apply in order:

  1. Head-to-head result

  2. Gross Tournament Points

  3. Net Tournament Points

  4. Closest ball to the center wicket

Players noticing any scheduling errors or discrepancies should report them to the Event Director or Referee as soon as possible. Best of luck to all competitors for an enjoyable and competitive tournament weekend at Washington Park.
